⏲️ 30 minutes
🌡️ 375°F (190°C)

Ingredients

  • 🍗Chicken thighs(4 pieces)
  • 🍷Red wine(2 cups)
  • 🧅Onion(1 large, chopped)
  • 🍄Mushrooms(1 cup, sliced)
  • 🥓Bacon(4 slices, chopped)
  • 🧄Garlic(3 cloves, minced)
  • 🌿Thyme(1 teaspoon, dried)
  • 🌿Bay leaf(1)
  • 🧂Salt(to taste)
  • 🌶️Black pepper(to taste)
  • 🧈Butter(2 tablespoons)

Instructions

  1. 1.Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. 2.In a bowl, marinate the chicken thighs in red wine, garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for more flavor).
  3. 3.In a skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pan.
  4. 4.Sauté the chopped onion and sliced mushrooms in the bacon drippings until softened, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
  5. 5.In a large bowl, combine the marinated chicken (reserve the marinade), sautéed onions and mushrooms, and crispy bacon.
  6. 6.Transfer the mixture to the air fryer basket, ensuring the chicken is in a single layer. Pour the reserved marinade over the top.
  7. 7.Air fry for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is cooked through and crispy on the outside.
  8. 8.Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired, and enjoy your air-fried Coq au Vin!
